Wireline Tools Inc. of the United States announced a downhole lifting tool called a rope lifter. This rope lifter conveniently interfaces with the original elastic rope guide barbs to guide the ropes into a dedicated rope hoistway and to ensure that the ropes are centered on the well tubular when hoisted.
