多叶玉米是一种新型的基因突变型,其表现型为穗位节上部功能叶片增加以至加倍,并具有遗传稳定性。多叶型玉米选育是将控制多叶性状的基因导入普通玉米骨干系中,创造出多叶型或超多叶型玉米新品系及杂交种。多叶玉米穗上叶片居7~12片,单株穗位上部叶面积自交系和杂交种分别在400和600cm~2左右。多叶型玉米实现了在不增加密度的前提下,叶面积系数比普通玉米增加至加倍,并延长光合时间,加快灌浆速率,从而提高产量20~30%。多叶玉米具备了有效地拦截和利用太阳光能的生理、形态特征,是高光效育种的宝贵材料,具有重要的研究意义和利用价值。
Multi-leaf maize is a new type of mutant gene. Its phenotype is that the functional leaves in the upper panicle are doubled and doubled, and have genetic stability. Multi-leaf corn breeding is the control of leafy genes into common maize skeleton, to create a new multi-leaf or multi-leaf corn lines and hybrids.
