Wired Magazine conducted an inventory of the five planets that may have given birth to life in the solar system beyond Earth. Enceladus, Europa, Mars, Titan and Io are among them. Enceladus Enceladus is Saturn’s sixth largest satellite, which is called the solar system most likely to give birth to life’s satellites. Because of its surface temperature, it is likely that liquid water and simple organic molecules are present. According to scientists, 99% of the icy surface of Enceladus is made of ice-water matter, and liquid water is likely to exist beneath its surface. In 2005, when the “Cassini” spacecraft flew over Enceladus, survey data showed that there were carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen on its surface
