本文以《生死疲劳》葛译本中四类民俗文化的英译策略为研究对象,尝试对莫言小说研究冷热不均的现象做出回答,并力图引起学界对文学作品中民俗文化译介的关注,进而探讨推动中国民俗文化走出去的有效策略。研究发现,尽管葛译本中民俗文化的英译存在一些翻译失当之处,但总体而言,瑕不掩瑜。译者结合语义、语境及读者审美体验等因素,运用文化意象阐释法、明示法及置换法等灵活多样的翻译策略,再现源语传达的意义、方式及风格,达到文化传真的效果,为中国民俗文化外译的具体实施提供了一定的启示。
This article takes the English translation strategies of four kinds of folk culture in Ge Fu’s translation of Life and Death as the research object, tries to answer the research on the non-uniformity of hot and cold in Mo Yan’s novels, and seeks to arouse the attention of scholars in the translation of folklore in literary works , And then explore the effective strategy to promote Chinese folk culture going global. The study found that although there are some mistakes in the translation of folk custom culture in Ge’s translation, in general, the translation does not cover up. The translator combines the semantic, context and readers’ aesthetic experience with the flexible translation strategies such as cultural image interpretation method, express method and permutation method, to reproduce the meaning, style and style of source language communication and to achieve the effect of cultural facsimile The concrete implementation of Chinese folk custom culture translation provides some enlightenment.
