Great achievements had been made in Shanxi during its Ninth 5－Year Plan period. According to statistics, in the Ninth 5－Year Plan time, Shanxi listed a total of 52 key construction projects, among which 11 were national while 41 local. Up to date 33 projects and 3 one－unit projects have been finished－－and gone into operation. An accumulative investment of 54.8 billion yuan has been utilized.
