主人公简介:宋保印,山东省郯城县港上镇港上二村人,1961年出生,1981年12月入伍。在部队,他勤学苦练,是一名优秀士兵,多次受到上级表彰,曾荣获全军通令嘉奖一次。为了照顾瘫痪在床的母亲,放弃了留队提干的机会,于1984年光荣退伍。从1974年至今30余年间,他一直坚持助人为乐、见义勇为,被人们亲切地称为“新时代的活雷锋”。
