表面层放射技术是近几年发展起来的测量零件磨损的一种最新方法。这种方法通过给磨损零件表面诱导微量放射性,从而对零件在运行状态下的磨损进行直接测量或监控。它是各类定量磨损和评定润滑剂性能的理想手段,其测量数据可由微处理机自动处理。使用该方法时的放射性强度比六十年代提出采用的放射性同位素测量技术低了3个能级,因此,对人体健康没有影响。这种新型方法已用作柴油机活塞环和其它零件磨损的测量和监控。
Surface layer radiography is the latest method of measuring part wear developed in recent years. This method directly measures or monitors wear and tear of the part during operation by inducing trace amounts of radioactivity on the surface of the worn part. It is ideal for all types of quantitative wear and lubricant performance assessment, the measurement data can be automatically processed by the microprocessor. The radioactivity used in this method is three levels lower than the radioisotope measurement technique proposed in the 1960s and therefore has no effect on human health. This new method has been used for the measurement and monitoring of wear on diesel piston rings and other parts.
