在镁、钛、锆、铍、钒等稀有金属的冶炼中,一般都是先制成氯化物,然后再把氯化物还原成金属。氯化物是用氯气与金属氧化物反应生成的。在此生产操作中,必须测定送入炉内参加反应的氯气浓度和反应后排出的尾气含氯量。因此氯气分析器是氯化生产中重要的测量仪器之一。根据电化学反应的原理制作的氯气浓度分析器已在遵义钛厂用以测定镁电解阳极的氯气浓度,现场实际运行表明,能满足生产的需要。经有关部门鉴定允许在生产中推广使用。
