传统的高中英语教学比较重视对语法、词汇的讲解,英语教学更像一种技能教学,其实这与英语教学的初衷大相径庭,因为,语言是文化的载体,而文化又是语言的内核,只重视技能的培养,就会忽略了对外国文化的理解,这对语言教学来说并不是一件有益的事情,在传授英语技能的同时,加强外国文化教育,才能有力地推动英语教学的前进,才能使教学更有效率。介绍了英语教学中的文化意识薄弱的问题,以期为高中英语教学提供一些参考。
