“Yahoo” is a humanoid in Swift's satirical novel “Gulliver's Travels,” and people are often used to interpreting it as “country bumpkin.” It is said that the reason why Jerry Yang named the site Yahoo! is a retaliation of being a “country bumpkin” by his classmates in his college days. Today, Yahoo! has become one of the most frequently visited websites in the world. Such an achievement has made it impossible for us to criticize Yang's dropping out of school. As a product of the online industry and venture capital portfolio, Yahoo! is more than just a web site. More profoundly, Yahoo! has become a monument to student entrepreneurship today, a model that can often be used to tell others and encourage them.
