2012年7月21日,北京地区普降暴雨,全市平均降水量170毫米,为61年来首都最大的一次降雨。道路、桥梁、水利工程多处受损,民房多处倒塌,几百辆汽车严重损坏,受灾人口达190万人。在无情的暴雨面前,却有很多温情涌动:政府和相关部门积极开展抗洪抢险工作,7000名交警全勤上岗,努力维护百姓的人身和财产安全,很多领导人甚至亲临一线指挥抗洪工作;解放军和武警部队出动兵力3000多人,市交通委出动2万余人、抢险车辆2000余部;冒雨抗洪抢险的党员干部成为一面不倒的旗帜;铁路部门也紧急开通临客疏散灾区旅客。暴雨中涌现的救人事迹,使得人性的真善美再一次得以彰显和升华。
