终有会一天,人类居住的地球在任何需要的地方,都会有互联网接入信号的。在连续几个计划与投资破产、失败之后——包括比尔·盖茨——近两年,全球最知名的创新公司谷歌(Google)和“脸谱”(Facebook)在互联网普及方面均有令人瞩目的新动作。2013年,谷歌计划把太阳能动力气球送入距离地球表面约20公里的大气平流层,让气球进行环地球飘行的同时向地面传输互联网接入信号,被称为“谷歌气球”计划(Project Loon)。近日,谷歌公司又被证实已经收购了美国无人机制造商泰坦航天公司,打算将其太阳能无人机技术运用于向欠发达地区普及互联网的“谷歌气球”计划。此前,谷歌还一连收购了8家掌握领先技术的机器人公司,新建了机器人研发部门。
