汉英翻译过程中,为克服两种语言间的跨文化障碍,需对译文进行必要的调整和变通,以增加译文的可读性。同时又要把握分寸,避免译文篇幅过长,在对外宣传翻译中尤其如此。为此,译员要依据英语与汉语之间的转换模式,正确解读原语,调用翻译可用资源,做出翻译决策,以克服翻译过程中所面临的诸多制约。本文通过对抚顺市雷锋纪念馆陈展大纲的中文原文和英语译文进行对比研究,探究译员如何遵循汉英双语转换模式采取适当的翻译策略,有效传达原语语篇信息,以期对课堂翻译教学和职业笔译译员培训有所启发。
In the process of Chinese-English translation, in order to overcome the cross-cultural barrier between the two languages, necessary adjustments and modifications to the translation are needed to enhance the readability of the translation. At the same time, we must grasp the sense of proportion and avoid the length of the translation, especially in foreign propaganda and translation. Therefore, the interpreter should interpret the primitives correctly, transfer the resources available for translation, and make translation decisions based on the mode of conversion between English and Chinese in order to overcome many constraints in the translation process. By comparing the original Chinese texts and English translations of the Chen Zong outline of Lei Feng memorial museum in Fushun City, this paper explores how translators follow Chinese-English bilingual translation patterns to adopt appropriate translation strategies to effectively convey the textual information of the original texts, Inspiration from translators and interpreters.
