[Objective] To analyze the current situation of prevention of mother-to-child transmission of AIDS in Nanyang City and evaluate the work effect, and provide a scientific basis for formulating effective intervention measures. [Methods] Based on the work report and database of prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV / AIDS in Nanyang since 2003, the epidemiological analysis was carried out. [Results] The proportion of women with HIV infection and HIV-positive women of childbearing age was higher than that of women of childbearing age and showed a focal distribution in the area. From 2000 to 2007, the number of cases of HIV transmission from mother to child was steady and decreased. The monitoring of maternal HIV prevalence among pregnant women in key counties (districts) showed a downward trend as a whole, but new HIV infections were still reported each year in 42.71% of HIV-positive pregnant women who were sexually transmitted. From 2003 to 2007, HIV-positive maternal childbirth survived Of the 60 infants who did not take blocking measures were eventually confirmed as HIV positive; 58 infants who took blocking measures ≥ 12 months old and HIV-positive in 29 cases, of which 1 case of HIV was detected as Positive, the positive rate was 3.45%. [Conclusion] Nanyang City has done a great deal of work on HIV maternal and infant blockade and has achieved remarkable results. However, the risk of HIV transmission through sexual transmission and mother-to-child transmission remains. In the key areas, women of childbearing age may become HIV- Therefore, it is necessary to take comprehensive prevention and control measures to effectively stop the mother-to-child transmission of AIDS.
