2009年11月30日,中国林科院湿地研究所在京成立。国家林业局局长贾治邦出席并讲话。他指出,建立湿地研究所是根据中央对林业的新定位、新要求,与时俱进地发展现代林业,努力建设和保护好森林、荒漠、湿地三大生态系统和保护生物多样性的实际需要,是保护湿地资源、维护国家生态安全、应对气候变化的需要,也是履行湿地公约、加强湿地科学研究的迫切要求。
November 30, 2009, China Academy of Forestry wetland Institute was established in Beijing. State Forestry Administration Jia Zhibang attended and addressed. He pointed out that the establishment of Wetland Research Institute is based on the central government’s new positioning of forestry, new requirements, advance with the times to develop modern forestry, and strive to build and protect the three ecosystems of forests, deserts, wetlands and the actual needs of biodiversity conservation Is to protect wetland resources, safeguard national ecological security and meet the needs of climate change. It is also an urgent requirement for fulfilling the Convention on Wetlands and strengthening wetland scientific research.
