稀土是元素周期表中的镧系元素和钪、钇等化学性质相似的17种元素的总称。早在40年代苏联学者就发现了稀土对小麦、豌豆、黄瓜等多种作物具有刺激生长的作用,初步肯定了稀土在农作物上的应用价值。我国从1972年以来已有30多个农业科研单位从事稀土的农用研究。全国农用稀土协作网提出了1985—1987年研究的重点是摸清几种主要农作物施用稀土的条件和技术。本文根据两年的试验作一小结。一、作物种类与稀土增产效果的关系不同作物各自的营养特异性,决定了它们对各种养分的需求特点。同时也决定了它们对各种肥料的敏感程度,稀土作为一种微肥,在不同作物上的增产效果是不同的。
Rare earth is the general term for the 17 elements in the periodic table of the lanthanides and scandium, yttrium and other chemical similarities.
