阿富汗由于气候适中、土壤肥沃,所以出产多种农作物,其中主要有棉花、粮食、水果及油料作物等。在阿富汗辽阔的牧场中,饲养着大量的牲畜,出产世界闻名的波斯羔皮、羊毛、皮革及肉类。在阿富汗的高山峻岭中蕴藏着丰富的矿物资源,包括金、银、铜、铁、铝、锌、石油、煤、铅、石棉、硫磺、云母、铬及大理石等。但是,由于阿富汗过去曾长期遭受帝国主义的侵略,它的工业和农业都得不到正常的发展,丰富的宝藏得不到开采,人民的生活也极为贫困。
Because of its moderate climate and fertile soil, Afghanistan produces a large variety of crops, mainly cotton, grain, fruits and oilseeds. In the vast pastures of Afghanistan, a large number of livestock are kept and the world famous Persian lamb, wool, leather and meat are produced. There are abundant mineral resources in Afghanistan’s high mountains, including gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, zinc, petroleum, coal, lead, asbestos, sulfur, mica, chrome and marble. However, as Afghanistan has suffered from imperialist aggression in the past for too long, its industrial and agricultural development have not been able to develop normally. The rich treasures have not been exploited and the people’s lives have been extremely poor.
