1991年6月6日《羊城晚报》载称:为我国农村平民教育奋斗终生、1943年被评为世界十大革命性伟人、1990年11月17日于美国病逝的晏阳初博士的史迹展览在其故乡四川巴中揭幕。这使我记起了他在广州的一则往事。1947年夏,晏氏来到广州,他的留美同学——广东建设厅长谢文龙在财厅前太平馆设宴为他洗尘。作陪的有建设厅主任秘书谢群彬、第三科(管农、林、渔、牧)科长黄斡干桥及科内的技正、技士,故我也叨陪末座。
