1 信息专业人员是新环境中的旧职业 新的信息技术给人类活动的各个领域带来了很多变化,同时,对图书馆也产生了一种特殊的影响。它逐渐在改变着信息传播媒介的形式和传递方式。根据E·H·丹尼尔1986年的看法,图书馆在采用新技术方面经历了三个阶段。一是采用新技术阶段,在该阶段,新技术代替了传统的手工方法,从而大大提高了工作时效,如出现了联机目录和对书目信息的联机检索;二是扩大应用范围阶段,在该阶段出现了前所未有的新的服务方式,如有了多种复杂的检索参考的资源信息策略;三是技术改变了人们的生活方式和行为
