今年三月二日,是中国左翼作家联盟(简称左联)成立五十周年纪念日。周扬同志在全国第四次文代会上所作的报告中指出:以左联为标志的“三十年代左翼文艺运动,在党的领导下,以伟大的鲁迅为旗手,举起了无产阶级文学的旗帜,勇敢地挫败了国民党反动派的反革命文化‘围剿’,用革命文艺家的鲜血写下了中国无产阶级文艺的新篇章。……三十年代的革命文艺,以它强烈的战斗精神,鼓舞了处于民族压迫和阶级压迫下的广大人民,为反帝反封建的新民主主义革命,为民族解放战争的胜利,建立了不可磨灭的功勋。”这是对于三十年代文艺的历史功绩的科学评价。
