The fi rst China International Import Expo（CIIE） will take place on November 5-10， and as the fi rst ever expo in the world with imports as the theme， it will be a big event with an eye on pressing ahead with a new round of opening up at a higher level. This will be a major step in China’s resolute support for economic globalization and the country’s active opening up of its market to the world.
To date， enterprises from approximately 130 countries and regions will participate in the exhibition， which will host a series of supporting activities ranging from industry symposiums to product launches， according to event organizers.
This is a big move by China to safeguard economic globalization， which is a manifestation of how the world economy grows and serves as its driving force. However， a raging tide of anti-globalization in recent years in the international community has had a negative impact on global economic growth.
