1970年以自交系塘四平头(白粒、配合力高、白单4号的母本)作母本,西103(黄粒、配合力高、抗病力强、丰收号的父本)作父本配制而成。兼具丰收号的抗斑病和白单4号的丰产性、抗倒性,株形挺立,叶片上冲,适于密植。生育期115天,后期籽粒脱水快,适合中茬麦埂套种。较抗斑病,稳产性强。籽粒黄白色,牛硬粒型,出楂率高,食味好。千粒重340克左右。在中上等地力,适当提高密度的情况下,可发挥增产潜力,亩产600斤上下。
