今日本报发表了湖南、广东珠江等三个专区及海南岛剿匪胜利的消息。此一胜利,是在军政密切配合,正确贯彻剿匪政策、剿匪部队英勇艰苦的捕捉追歼、以及广大农民群众的积极支持之下取得的。我们庆贺这一胜利,并预祝在这一胜利基础上,彻底消灭残余土匪.目前全国除了台湾、西藏尚待解放外,在新解放区还有四十余万分散在各个偏僻地方的土匪,在蒋匪帮及美帝国主义的支持下继续进行反革命活动。我中南地区的两广、湖南等地部分地区,尚有大量土匪潜伏活动,扰乱社会秩序,障碍建设工作的进行。
