江泽民同志几年前就讲过:“随着历史的不断发展,党史工作的重要性会越来越明显。”当前,在全党全国人民奋力实现“九五”计划和2010年远景目标纲要的伟大征程中,在全党进一步加强党的建设并进一步把精神文明建设提到更加突出地位的形势下,党史工作的重要性确实越来越明显了。 最近,中央书记处对加强党史工作和加强党史教育问题作了很多重要指示。根据中央书记处指示的精神,我们可以从以下四个方面的客观需要来理解新形势下党史工作“越来越明显”的重要性。 (一)做好党史工作,是全党深入掌握邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论,坚持党的基本路线不动摇的客观需要。对邓小平理论的来源,中央宣传部编写的《学习纲要》中概括了四个依据,即理论的依据、历史的依据、现实的依据、国际条件的依据。读《邓小平文选》,人们都有一个共同的感受,就是书中充满着对历史经验的总结、对历史问题的评说,经常使用历史的事实和经验来说明理论、政策问题,历史的逻辑、历史的方法运用得非常多、非常娴熟,具有极强的说理、论辩力量。在邓小平理论指导下提出的“一个中心,两个基本点”的基本路线,同样“是在总结成功时期的经验、失败时期的经验、遭受挫折时期的经验后制定的”,是在我们党付出了巨大历史代价以后才确定起?
