1972年8月28日,是马克·施皮茨最难忘的一天。当慕尼黑奥运会开赛还不到两个小时,他便连续夺得了两枚金牌。比赛结束时,他共获男子100米、200米自由泳和男子100米、200米蝶泳及三个接力项目的7枚金牌,这在世界游泳史上是从未有过的,他创下的这个世界纪录一直保持至今,长达22年之久。施皮茨是美国著名游泳运动员,他从1967年到1972年,在自由泳和蝶泳比赛中,曾先后20次刷新世界纪录,还与队友合作,多次刷新接力项目的世界纪录,因而人们称他“飞鱼”。当施皮茨创下32项世界纪录之后,他退役了。施皮茨1950年出生于加利福尼亚,从小受父亲的影响,就爱上了游泳,5岁时便开始游泳训练。他水性出色,不少人预言他将来一定会成为一条“蛟龙”。8岁时进入游泳学校,到10岁时,父亲又把他交给了著名的游泳教练(美国奥林匹克游泳队教练)谢曼·伏加尔进行训练。1961年,11岁的施皮茨加入美国著名的圣克拉拉俱乐部。
August 28, 1972, Mark Spitz’s most memorable day. When the Munich Olympics started less than two hours, he won two gold medals consecutively. At the end of the match, he won seven gold medals in the men’s 100m, 200m freestyle and men’s 100m, 200m butterfly and three relay events, which has never been seen in the history of the world swimming. The world record he set Has been maintained for up to 22 years. Spitzer is a famous American swimmer. From 1967 to 1972, he once set a world record in freestyle and butterfly competitions 20 times. He also cooperated with his teammates to refresh the world record of relay projects many times, so people called him “flying fish”. When Spiez hit 32 world records, he retired. Born in California in 1950, Spitzer fell in love with her childhood after being influenced by her father and began swimming training when she was 5 years old. He is excellent in water and many people predict that he will become a “dragon” in the future. At the age of 8, he entered the swimming school. By the age of 10, his father handed him over to the famous swimming coach (US Olympic swimming team coach) Semen Vapar for training. In 1961, Spitz, 11, joined the famous Santa Clara Club in the United States.
