The pathophysiology of secretory otitis media has long been the central topic of otology. Some articles have shown that some secretory otitis media may be similar to allergic rhinitis due to a disorder of the choline secretion mechanism of the middle ear mucosa and therefore it is desirable to block the supply of parasympathetic secretion activities to reduce glandular activity and to prevent stubborn exudation. In order to observe the effect of tympanotomy on mucocutaneous acini of middle ear pulp, we used cats as experiment. Because of the normal cat eustachian tube drum near the mouth of the tympanic mucosa contains serous mucus gland, it was selected six cats, exposed middle ear cavity, from the round window niche before carefully peel the promontory mucoperiosteal clear tympanic nerve and cut
