Vertical Axis Wind Turbines The United States Nex Wind company developed a new Active Wind vertical shaft wind turbines. Its structure is characterized by arranging a stator or a jacket around the wind turbine, which is favorable for removing negative thrust and overcoming a major shortcoming of a general vertical axis wind turbine.
