诗歌节这类活动,本属洋派新生事物,古无有也。怎么说:节者,节庆之谓。中国人过节均依自然节庆之运化,阴阳消长,故一年可分出廿四个节点来,令人作息有所依归。过这些节,既合乎月令也提醒人们随顺自然,而诗乃人为创造之物事,与清明、谷雨、春分、惊蛰这类自然节令不同,如何过节呢?于是可见诗歌节之云,其实与我们现在称劳工节、妇女节、护士节等等类似,是仿效西洋人的办法,过一种纪念日,只是把这纪念日也援俗称、唤作节日而已。
