本文提出一种特殊强调矿物空间分布的、定量描述岩石结构的新方法。该方法使用一种统计计算法并检验特定的“矿物对”以不定的点间距离出现的概率。概率是由计算岩石结构中的数字化图像中“点对”的数字而测定出来的,岩石结构由计算机辅助数字化图像处理程序获得,本文叙述了实际程序中遇到的获得岩石结构图像和数据处理中出现的几个问题。本文利用花岗岩和接触变质角岩两种岩石样品讨论这种方法。它在检验矿物分布的均一性和随机性范围以及对不同矿物种类中矿物的空间关系的检验都是非常有用的。
This paper presents a new method for quantitatively describing the rock structure with a special emphasis on the spatial distribution of minerals. The method uses a statistical calculation and tests the probability that a particular “mineral pair” will appear at an indefinite distance between points. The probability is determined by the number of “point pairs” in the digitized image of the rock structure. The rock structure is derived from a computer-aided digital image processing program. This paper describes the practical procedures for obtaining rock-structure images and data processing Several problems that arise. This paper discusses the method using two types of rock samples, granite and metamorphosed hornfels. It is very useful in examining the homogeneity and randomness of mineral distribution and testing the spatial relationship of minerals in different mineral species.
