四月初,全巴基斯坦报业协会在卡拉奇举行年会。会上作出了专门决议,筹建巴基斯坦新闻学院。决议还确定了办校的宗旨和规划: 一、学院面向全国新闻界,它的任务是培训在职的编辑和记者,以及新闻界的全体工作人员; 二、允许记者在学院办的报刊上研究、讨论城乡的各类社会问题,以此来加强地方的新闻工作的基础;
In early April, the All Pakistan Press Association held an annual meeting in Karachi. At the meeting, a special resolution was made to establish the Pakistani Institute of Journalism. The resolution also set out the purpose and plan of running a school: 1. The college faces the national press. Its mission is to train serving editors and journalists, as well as all members of the media. Second, journalists are allowed to study, Discuss all kinds of social problems in urban and rural areas, in order to strengthen the basis of local press work;
