This article introduces a new type of drum-type dynamic eddy current sorting machine, which can sort particle size of about 2 ~ 8mm fine-grained conductive non-ferrous metals. This sorter is known as a drum-type vortex current separator (abbreviated as VDECS), which is composed of a vertical drum equipped with a permanent magnet. The advantage of VDECS is that the sorting efficiency is close to the sorting efficiency of HDECS, but the equipment investment cost is lower. The disadvantage is that the intermediate product produced during sorting must be returned to the sorting process again.
