The central fatigue hypothesis states that excessive exercise or exhaustion can directly increase 5-HT activity and increase 5-HT concentration in the brain through exercise regulation or long-term stress response, thereby impairing central nervous system function and resulting in exercise. Failure and fatigue. Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) catalyzes the rate-limiting reaction of 5-HT biosynthesis. Increased expression of TPH mRNA leads to increased TPH activity and 5-HT metabolism. This study investigated the effects of paeoniflorin on treadmill exercise-induced exercise failure, 5-HT synthesis, and TPH expression in the spinal cord.
