我县位于贵州西部,海拔2,200米左右,最高达2,850米。年平均温度10.5℃,最高7月平均温度17.7℃,最低1月平均温度1.7℃,早霜始于10月中旬,晚霜终于4月下旬,全年无霜期160天。由于自然条件和生产条件的限制,我县过去很少栽培小麦。为了改变广大的山坡地生产的落后面貌,1965年从云南省昭通地区引进黑麦进行试种,结果亩产100—200斤,在短短几年里,栽培面积迅速扩大到15.6万亩,取代了部分低产的燕麦和荞麦,使我县一部分长期吃粮靠回销的生产队变成自给有贡献。但是,黑麦出粉率低(55%),口味不好。我县干部和群众迫切希望培育出一
