一、桩水平承载力的考虑方法桩在水平荷载作用下的工作机理不同于垂直荷载作用下的工作机理。在垂直荷载作用下,一般说来,桩受压,而桩的抗压强度较高,因此桩的作用是将桩顶垂直荷载传递给桩侧土和桩端土。一般说来,除端承桩以外,对于摩擦桩、端承摩擦桩和摩擦端承桩,其垂直承载力由土的破坏条件控制(见本讲座第一讲)。在水平荷载作用下,桩为受弯杆件,桩身产生水平变位和弯曲应力。外力的一部分由桩本身所承
