In order to comprehensively study the method of the doctor’s examination system, Japan established the National Doctor Examination Reform Committee on November 16, 1982 as a private consultation agency of the Minister of Health and Welfare. The reform committee was established in accordance with the opinion of the Department of Physicians of the Medical Council Review Conference in June last year to the Minister of Health and Human Resources. The purpose of the reform committee is to make it clear that the national examination for doctors is to assess the doctor’s needs.
