袁振英(1894一1979),字震瀛,出生于广东东莞县温塘村。他曾在父亲办的私塾里接受过中国的传统教育,11岁那年随父亲去了香港,学习英语等课程,1914年从香港皇仁书院毕业以后,考入北京大学英文科。毕业以后做过新闻记者、自由撰稿人与杂志编辑等。因为年代久远,加上袁振英中年以后默默无闻,他的名字几乎被人们遗忘。他对中国共产主义运动的影响与贡献,一直被低估甚至被忽视~①。但是,写中国共产党创建史
