应美国国家科学院院长,前美国总统卡特的科学顾问与科学技术政策办公室主任法兰克·普勒斯博士的邀请,我国著名科学家,学部委员,中国灾害防御协会会长刘恢先教授,中国科学院地质研究所所长王思经研究员,国家地震局工程力学研究所副所长谢礼立研究员最近去美国华盛顿参加了国际自然灾害专家会议,会议从3月22日到24日,共开了3天。
At the invitation of Dr. Frank Price, dean of the National Academy of Sciences, former US President Carter’s scientific advisor and director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, Professor Liu Huixian, the president of China Disaster Prevention Association, a famous scientist and academic member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director Wang Sijing, Researcher at the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, State Seismological Bureau Xie Li-li, a research fellow at the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, recently went to Washington for participation in an international conference on natural disasters. The meeting was held for 3 days from March 22 to 24.
