1989年初,漓江出版社约我们选编一本《广西情歌》,我们欣然答应,有些朋友却颇不以为然,原因是:民歌情歌在五十年代来说还可以,现在还搞这种低级黄色的作品,应该搞些新潮的东西。这种论调,使我感到困惑。难道说,搞新潮的东西,就不要民歌了吗?民歌是民族文化的组成部分之一,是通俗文学的一种形式,新潮的东西能代替吗?因此,为了弘扬民族文化,对民歌情歌,有重新认识的必要。
