2012年8月1日,以多角度、多层次介绍非洲动物、自然与人文景观为主旨的大型公益性专题展览——《神奇的非洲》——在北京自然博物馆正式开展,并将免费向观众长期开放。该展览以肯尼斯贝林先生(慈善家,世界轮椅基金会创始人、主席和中国残疾人福利基金会理事)捐赠的非洲珍贵动物标本和体现非洲各部落人们生活特点的文物、饰品等为基础,采用360度环形全景画技术,综合运用多媒体、灯光、展板和仿真模型等展示手段,将非洲大陆上令人震撼的野性之美、令人向往的纯朴之态和马塞人质朴的生活气息栩栩如生地展示在观众面前。
