The WT1 gene (Wilms’tumorgene) is a susceptibility gene of Wilms’ tumor and its chromosome is located at 11p13. The WT1 gene is about 50 kb in length and contains 10 exons; the 5th and 9th exons are randomly combinable splicing exons. Because of the different splicing methods, WT1 gene can transcribe 4 transcripts, encoding proteins with a relative molecular weight of 52000-54000.
