The contribution of manufacturing to the U.S. economy is mainly reflected in stabilizing economic growth, creating employment opportunities and promoting export trade. The U.S. manufacturing industry has a high multiplier effect and its development benefits all sectors of the national economy. Globally, the relative share of manufacturing in the United States has declined, but its absolute value has continued to grow. Benefit from technological innovation and labor productivity advantages, the US manufacturing industry maintained a strong international competitiveness, especially in the high-end manufacturing. Judging from the development trend, the readjustment of the employment structure of the manufacturing industry in the United States will continue. The strategy of rejuvenating the manufacturing industry by the government will be launched in full swing. However, the return of manufacturing industry will not form a trend in the short term. The development of manufacturing industries in emerging economies has already competed with the U.S. manufacturing industry but has not yet Form a serious challenge. The entry of foreign direct investment into the U.S. manufacturing industry will also boost its industrial development.
