闽清县历史上仅少量种植黄麻.1985年初从莆田引进了红麻良种青皮三号在白樟等六个乡镇试种.结果表明:青皮三号在我县营养生长表现正常,麻皮产量高,亩产可达610.5公斤,还略高于主产区莆田亩产500公斤水平.在海拔400米以下的地区种植,产量不受海拔高度的影响.青皮三号高产播种期在4月初至5月中旬为宜,亩产可达600公斤左右,5月下旬至6月上旬播种的亩产约为450公斤左右;迟于6月下旬播种的产量很低.青皮三号在我县留种产量低,主要是开花期气温达不到要求.
