In recent years, the Soviet Union held a seminar on “the mantle xenoliths and ultramafic magmas in the entire Soviet Union” in Novosibirsk. This meeting was organized by the Geophysical and Geophysical Institute of Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry of the Soviet Academy of Sciences and the Geophysical and Geophysical Institute of the Siberian Branch of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. More than 200 representatives from 20 institutes, 6 production units and 4 institutions of higher learning attended the seminar.
