张体学同志是我们敬爱的老省长。我有幸多次向体学同志汇报工作,至今仍记忆犹新的一次是陪同体学同志视察松宜煤矿。那是1970年7月,体学同志为了进一步贯彻落实毛主席“备战、备荒、为人民”的伟大战略方针,把湖北的煤炭工业搞上去,他深入到荆州视察煤矿,并把全省煤炭工业增产节约会议定在松宜煤矿召开。我时任湖北省煤炭工业会战总指挥部荆州分指挥部指挥长兼荆州地区燃化局局长、党委书记,曾有幸陪他到煤矿调查,向他汇报煤炭会战工作,并得到他的赞扬。
