Margaret Lawrence is one of the most watched women writers in the history of Canadian literature. In a large number of his works, the author, with his personal experience and knowledge as the background, objectively and truly reflects the real problems and also shows the power and universality of local literature. One of the most representative works, “The Stone Angel,” clearly presents the reader with a stubborn personality who refuses to succumb to authority and secularism and has the courage to grasp his own destiny.
