Sherwood Anderson and William Faulkner are the masters of portrayals. Anderson’s monsters are loss lonely communicators, but they are unwilling to be alienated, trying to become normal, and Faulkner’s angels did not realize their own weird. The absurdity of “Tortoise” characters was frozen and highlighted at the moment of solidification. “Absalom, Absalom!” Was surrounded by an all-pervading grotesque atmosphere, and its grotesque gradually appeared in the complicated narrative puzzles. Both writers are concerned about the exploration of the inner world of characters, portraying the image of a rich and reliable monster. Although the two writers shaped the abnormal people and created the abnormal people, the reasons for their deformity are similar: loneliness, social changes, wrong religious beliefs and lack of beliefs.
