世界各国帝皇,大都有“冬宫”及“夏宫”等度假宫。一般来说,“夏宫”建在地势阴凉之处,是主人避暑之地;“冬宫”建在温暖之地,供避寒之用。但泰皇在清迈府山上的“冬宫”却恰恰相反,是建在最清凉之处。泰皇喜欢在最凉爽的季节到此度假,因为泰国终年炎热,只有北部的清迈,因地势较高,夜里特别凉爽,泰王趁着冬凉之时上山过冬,就特别有冬天的感觉。
