On October 17, 2010, the “High-level Forum on Poverty Alleviation and Development” hosted by the Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development of the State Council of China and the United Nations System in China was held in Beijing. The theme of the forum is “Transforming the Way of Development and Reducing Poverty”. Hui Liangyu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech.
