Artificial breeding of Russian sturgeon larvae was used to study the effects of initial feeding time on growth and survival using experimental ecology. The results showed that when the water temperature was 17.4 ℃, the larvae fed on the first 9 to 10 days of age had no significant effect on the growth and survival of the Russian sturgeon. The larvae delayed feeding more than 2 days had obvious effects on the growth, At 18 days of age, the initial feeding decreased significantly, while starved larvae all died at 24 days of age. The larvae reached the irreversible hunger point (PNR) at 23-24 days of age if they could not establish exogenous nutrients. Artificial breeding conditions, the Russian sturgeon larvae must be established within 14 days after the initial feeding ability to take the initiative to feed their larvae to ensure the normal development, growth and survival.
