This article presents the experimental test results on the possibility of preserving Yersinia pestis in large gerbil caves, and on certain objects in the external environment. The author seeks to maximize the experimental conditions close to the natural conditions. To this end, new methods of infecting large shelled rat holes with special isolation, as well as special rearing rooms and underground shelters simulating gerbil caves are used.
